Teaching strategies to navigate a path towards

Emotional Well-being

About

About Me

I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the assessment and treatment of anxiety and related disorders including symptoms of panic, agoraphobia, worry, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma and depression. Additionally, I work with adults in navigating life stressors and to increase resiliency by developing coping strategies. My therapeutic approach is cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and I utilize mindfulness, cognitive flexibility and exposure strategies. I value the unique experience of every individual and enjoy a collaborative approach to the treatment process.

I have had extensive training and years of experience in providing empirically supported treatments. I completed my doctoral training at Drexel University and pre-doctoral internship at Brown Medical School. I served as a faculty member at Boston University for 10 years. Currently, I am a staff psychologist at the Institute of Living at Hartford Hospital.

Making meaningful change is challenging. Often times, learning a few new strategies can result in significant improvements in life. I specialize in short-term CBT and can show you ways to enhance present moment awareness, gain helpful perspective and approach challenging emotional experiences.
